FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know before you face the panel: how it works, how you're scored, and what happens to your data.

How does the AI panel work?

Three AI panelists — a Chairman, an HR & Behavioural member and a Banking Operations member — take turns asking questions out loud, just like a real interview board. Questions are drawn from the official-style syllabus and your own profile. If an answer is vague or incomplete, the panel cross-questions you before moving on.

How are my answers scored?

Each answer is transcribed and evaluated on five parameters: Clarity, Relevance, Confidence, Communication and Composure. We also measure delivery — words per minute, filler words and long pauses. Your report combines these into an overall score with per-question notes, a model answer and key terms you missed.

Can I answer in Hindi or Hinglish?

Yes. You can choose English, Hindi or Hinglish when you start an interview, and switch naturally mid-answer. Transcripts keep your original words and include an English rendering, and Hindi filler words like “matlab” and “haan” are counted in delivery analytics.

Is this the same as the real interview?

No tool can be. PanelPrep simulates the format most bank officer boards use: a multi-member panel, a self-introduction, questions on your background, motivation, situational judgement, banking and current affairs, and follow-ups when an answer is thin. Real boards vary by bank, year and panel, and we are not affiliated with SBI, IBPS or any recruiting body.

How long is a session, and how many questions will I get?

You choose 10, 15 or 20 minutes. The panel plans roughly one topic for every two minutes (about five topics in a 10-minute session) and adds follow-ups when an answer needs them. The session always opens with your self-introduction.

Does it focus on my weak areas?

Yes. Topics where your average score was below 6 out of 10 across your last three scored sessions come up about twice as often in your next interview. Marshal, the AI mentor, can also suggest what to practise based on your history.

What data do you store?

Your account and profile details, any resume you upload, your recorded audio answers, transcripts, AI evaluations, your notes and your conversations with Marshal, the AI mentor. We use this only to run your interviews and show you your progress. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I pause or exit an interview midway?

Yes. You can pause and resume a session, or end it early. If you exit before the panel finishes, you still get a partial report covering every question you answered.

How accurate are the scores?

Scores are indicative practice feedback generated by AI. They are designed to show trends and areas to improve — not to predict whether you will be selected. Real interview boards vary, and no tool can guarantee a result.

What do I need — microphone, browser, camera?

A working microphone and a recent version of Chrome, Edge or Safari. Find a quiet room for the best transcription. The camera is optional and only shows your own preview for realism; video never leaves your browser and is never uploaded.

How is my resume used?

When you upload a resume, we use it to autofill your profile — education, experience, skills and achievements — and to personalise the panel's questions. You review and edit everything before it is saved.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. PanelPrep is free during the beta, and no credit card is required to sign up. If paid plans are introduced later, we will give you clear notice in advance.

How do I delete my data?

Go to Settings and choose Delete account. It deletes your account along with your profile, resume, recordings, transcripts, reports, notes and mentor chats straight away. Want a copy first? Use Download my data on the same page.

Still deciding?

The quickest way to judge it is one 10-minute session. Free during beta.
